New and Restocked Plants Online
Thank you to everyone who braved the sporadic, spitting rain and warm sun-showers that seemed to make up the better part of the day during out open garden! I had a great time catching up with some of the NARGS folks I hadn’t seen in a bit and giving tours and explaining the nuances of the geothermal greenhouse. Thanks to Joleen, Kaia and Lindsey for doing the retail stuff! We are back to propagating like mad with some absolutely mindblowing seedlings showing up on the potting bench now. Soon it will be time for the summer cuttings. With the madness of spring slowing down a bit now, I’m hoping to catch my breath a bit and get some new garden beds lined out, like the shade garden project and some tufa planters.
For those of you who maybe winter hasn’t really relinquished it’s grip quite yet, we will be shipping for the next few weeks and we still have some great stuff left! Click here to get shopping
We marked a few things down for sale, so you will find some deals and also some things we haven’t offered online this year, or perhaps ever yet! Here are a few of the cool things to check out:
Senecio niveoaureus
A high elevation stunner from Laguna Negra in the Columbian Paramo. Photo by W.W.
Mimulus eastwoodiae
My number 2 favorite Monkeyflower of all time, this one is a cliff dwelling, denizen of the hanging gardens and slot canyons from the Colorado plateau through mountains to Arizona. It’s a fantastic hummingbird plant
What business does this have in a rock garden nursery? Well sometimes my propagation ferver is to your benefit. Echium wildprettii in Tenerife, how about your garden?
Teucrium aroanium
How about a choice, dwarf Teucrium for that hot, sunny spot that you can never get something to grow in?
Or if you need something for a trough or crevice, we have a few different Townsendia’s ready to go out the door now, Like this T. jonesii var. jonesii.
We still have a fantastic selection of Lewisia’s in about every color and they are about to explode into bloom so it’s a great time to get them into your garden! Phlox are on sale right now and while they are past the showy season, planting them out now will give your garden that much needed color pop next spring! Hope you find something to make your garden glow this late spring season!
Cheers,
Mark and the Illahe Crew
