May 16th Illahe Open Garden and Plant Sale

Put this one on your calendar! It will be our best sale of the year, we have some super special plants that we will be featuring at our home sale and the best part is you can walk around the gardens and check out the blooms! This year we are bringing back the fun of the scavenger hunt and we have partnered with some business’ in our illahe to make it a super fun day. Remember Columbia-Willamette Chapter members of NARGS get in an hour early at 10am! Click here to join if you aren’t a member and want early access, print out the form and bring it and $20 along for the early shopping experience and get the benefits of being a chapter member for a year. Or join us from 11-2, we have a lot of special plants that haven’t been in the catalog or at the local sales, as well as some discounts and seedlings that are super choice and we want to spread the genetics around. Even better, we will have free plants and special deals on wine for those that want to “scavenge” around the illahe.

The garden is going off!

Plan to make a day of it because we have partnered with the super cool Elysium botanicals wines and vinyard, who generously offered 10% off bottles of wine and if you visit you get a special free plant from illahe (limited to the first 32 participants). This super cool winery, has a specialty plant shop on site, they are dog friendly, and they have amazing Pizza and Charcuturie. So plant to stop off for some plant shopping, then adventure through the Ankeney wildlife refuge and over the Buena Vista ferry, Stop off at our Favorite Buena Vista Flowers and then on to a lunch stop at Elysium. Plants will be stashed along the way so just for checking out the neighborhood you can add to your garden. You can also enjoy the grounds at illahe where we will have disc golf, coffee, tea and cookies and of course all the flowers. More details on this fun packed plant sale and scavenger hunt coming soon!

Want to take a trip around the mountains of the world but don’t want to get on a plane? Come see our alpines in bloom like this Viola cotyledon from the Chilean andes!
