Bulb Harvest 2025

Just an update to say the shop will be down for the next few days as I begin the process of updating the website. To give everyone a fair shake at the limited selection of rarities including some new releases this year. I have decided to take a hint from the Taylor Swift concert ticket availability and do an announcement of the release time and date. I will update the inventory and then make the announcement early next week as to when ordering will go live. I forsee having a release date towards the end of next week, and I will give a day or two notice so make sure you are signed up for the newsletter to find out when the time will be.

The digging was hot and dusty like it always is in late July, but a big thanks to Lindsey and Andy for some hard work sorting through the bulbs. This years selection is tending toward the hotter and drier species from strongly Mediterranean climates like South Africa, California, and the Mediterranean region itself, with some wonderful new and classic Northwest hybrids, species and selections. The feeling I get as I get to be more of an ‘old timer’ in this industry is that the bulbs self select for what the climate is becoming. One of the best things about the bulbs I grow is the remarkable adaptation to long periods of drought. If you are in the market for a beautiful spring show and looking to save water, or landscape that hard to garden part of the yard that never gets summer water, this years selection is no doubt going to have something for you! Grab a sneak peak of a little bit of the coming availability here:

So stay tuned! The list should be online by the end of next week and I will send out an update at the start of the week, letting everyone know the exact date and time that the list will live.

Thanks again for all the support!

Mark and the illahe crew.
