Illahe Shop › Dactylorhiza hybrids

Dactylorhiza hybrids

$15.00
sold out

Hardy terrestrial orchids with stunning purple mottled foliage and tall, showy flower spikes ranging from light pink to purple. These have mixed parentage likely of D. fuschsii, D. maculata, and D. majalis.

Fantastic in growth with the super mottled foliage and then tall spikes of flowers, these are moist meadow plants in there native habitat, Dactylorhiza plays a significant role in the ecosystems where they grow, contributing to the overall biodiversity. They provide nectar and pollen for various pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, which are essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems

Here in Western Oregon they seem to grow in just about any soil, for me that's a native clay where they reside on the edge of pretty well drained bank with ferns and Impatiens. This hybrid blend has vigor and charm!
