Jime and Jenny Archibald collection of Fritillaria crassifolia from Iran, these are quite variable when grown from seed and they do produce copious amounts of seed. They are among the mid season bloomers in a genus that can be very early, these usually bloom for me in March. They are pretty tough if you give them a well drained soil and a dry summer rest. Perfect for a pot or trough with it’s compact stature.
