Moraea spathulata is a delightful South African geophyte prized for its delicate yellow flowers and distinctive foliage. Native to the edges of the winter rainfall regions of the Cape, making it a somewhat versatile species. Mostly evergreen, I have found that you can dry it down and give it a good summer rest. These are ready to grow so water them well when you plant them and they should be off to the races.
These have been quite hardy for me with no damage down to 14 degrees F. although I do my best to keep the foliage dry in the winter.
