$5.00

This is a fantastic way to get your winter garden started with a mix selection of the N. cantabricus and its allies such as N. romieuxii and N. albidus, etc. All are winter blooming.

These distinctive winter-blooming hoop petticoat daffodils, are treasured for their unusually shaped flowers and their ability to bloom during the quiet months of late fall to early spring. Native to Iberia, North Africa, and parts of the western Mediterranean, these species and selections thrive in open, rocky hillsides and seasonally moist meadows where winters are mild and wet and summers are hot and dry.

Their charming flowers feature an exaggerated funnel-shaped corona (the “petticoat”), often with reduced or thread-like petals, giving them an airy, flared silhouette quite unlike traditional daffodils. Colors range from white, to soft lemon-yellow to deep gold, and flowering often begins as early as December in mild climates, continuing into February Buy a few offerings pot them up and bring them inside in December to chase the winter blues away!
