Oxalis hirta "Gothenburg"
A unique form originally came from Henrik Zetterlund at the Göteborg Botanical Garden, in Sweden.
Larger, with more robust flowers than the wild type, this is a great selection for adding some color to the fall landscape. I don’t know if anyone bothered to do DNA on this or not, seems like it might be a tetraploid or something, like the species but on steroids. Basically the bodybuilder version of the wild type.
Pic shows the species on the left and the cultivar ‘Gothenburg’ on the right.
