Townsendia parryi
Townsendia parryi (Parry's Townsend Daisy) is a charming, low-growing perennial native to the alpine and subalpine regions of the mountains in the western United States. Thriving in well-drained, rocky soils and full sun, this tough little daisy is well adapted to high elevations and harsh conditions. It typically forms compact mats of silvery-green foliage topped with showy, daisy-like lavender to pale purple flowers with golden centers in late spring to early summer. Hardy to USDA Zone 4, Townsendia parryi is drought-tolerant once established and is an excellent choice for rock gardens, alpine troughs, or any xeriscape design. It requires excellent drainage and benefits from protection from excessive winter moisture in lower elevations.
Save seed and resow as these are not long lived but will reward you for years if you keep the seed going .
